A confirmed designation restricts the movement of any live fish, including their eggs and gametes, and shellfish into, out of or within the designated area in England and Wales without the prior written consent of the Fish Health Inspectorate (FHI) at Cefas.

If you are within a confirmed designation in England and Wales you must apply to the FHI to move any live fish and shellfish.

There are confirmed designations for the following diseases:

• Bacterial Kidney Disease (BKD)
• Bonamia ostreae
• Koi Herpesvirus (KHV)
• Oyster herpesvirus
• Marteilia refringens
