These datafiles are not protected against overwriting and so may be modified. Program users are encouraged to write their own datafiles to suit the particular shooting conditions of interest. This can be achieved by either using the program's output menu or by use of a Text Editor such as Windows Notepad. Quarry datafiles can not be generated from within the QUARRY program, so requiring a Text Editor or similar. As DOS datafiles, all these files are limited to filenames of up to 8 letters, with a three letter extension, and must contain only standard ASCII text.
