A revision of the former DoE Circular 2/93 on Public Rights of Way is now available [PDF] (275 KB)
The revised circular gives advice to local authorities on recording, managing and maintaining, protecting and changing public rights of way. This new guidance replaces previous advice and guidance in circulars: 2/93, 3/93, 17/90, 18/90 and 32/81, which are now no longer valid.
