Reference laboratory status

The VLA has close collaborative links with research institutes, universities and commercial companies and acts as a reference laboratory for a wide range of infectious and non-infectious diseases in farm animals.

National Reference Laboratory

VLA is certified to carry out national survey and diagnostic work as part of EC Directives and other European activities for the following:
