Directions
By road
Travelling from the North: Leave M6 at Junction 42 and join A6 signposted for Penrith. Proceed South for 8 miles.Merrythought is on the right-hand of the road, is surrounded by trees and conifers and has a yellow/black sign board at each of the two entrances
Travelling from the South: Leave M6 at Junction 41, follow A6 signs to Carlisle. Merrythought is situated on the A6 approximately 4 miles from the Stoneybeck Inn, on the left-hand side of the road
Travelling from the East or West: Merrythought is easily accessible if travelling from the East or West via the A66 to Penrith; then North for 7 miles on the A6
