Central Mastitis Review Group

The CMRG provides a forum for organisations involved in the diagnosis, surveillance and control of mastitis and the production of high quality milk supplies. Although the group remains informal, its broad stakeholder membership provides a consensus capable of influencing Government and Industry policy in this area.

Role of the group:
  • Provides a forum for regular communication between interested parties in the field of mastitis.
  • Discusses developments in mastitis epidemiology, control methods, therapeutics and disease surveillance.
  • Communicates any issues identified to the appropriate industry or government body.
  • Periodically reviews membership to ensure appropriate stakeholders are represented.
Membership

The CMRG membership (11kb pdf) is drawn from a number of organisations including farmers, research institutes, pharmaceutical, veterinary and Government bodies. The chairmanship of the Group is rotated every two years with the VLA providing a secretariat function.
