TSE Archive's available tissues & fluids

The TSE Archive holds many thousands of infected and non-infected samples stored at -80°C. It is not possible to provide a fully comprehensive list on these pages, however a service tissues list (15kb pdf) is available of the tissue types most commonly requested.

Researchers should note that due to the decline in UK field cases of BSE, it is now very difficult to source fresh material of this kind. Consequently the present Archive store represents a finite resource. Charges for supply are levied, although options for payment may be discussed with the Archive Head of Group.

Quality control

The TSE Archive is certificated to the ISO9001: 2000 Quality Standard which was awarded by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance in March 2003.
