Material transfer agreement (MTA)

This agreement is for a potential commercial organisation to request biological materials from VLA, for research purposes only.

It is advised that before completing the agreement, you check the following:

  • VLA has the materials you are requesting,
  • the materials can be supplied, and
  • any costs for obtaining the materials.

An electronic copy of the agreement document (VLA 12) (49kb pdf) is available to download and print. Please complete the relevant sections, sign and return the document to:

Please note that a separate form exists for requests to the TSE Archive.

Please note: All VLA contracts MUST be signed by a VLA Director, usually the Business Director. VLA staff are NOT authorised to sign contracts on the behalf of the Agency although they may sometimes need to countersign contracts as investigators.
