Clinical chemistry & haematology
All clinical chemistry and haematology testing is carried out at VLA Shrewsbury.
The laboratory carries out a wide range of tests on farmed animals to the ISO 17025 quality standard. A list of tests currently offered can be found on the laboratory tests and prices page.
Private veterinary surgeons should send their samples direct to VLA Shrewsbury to ensure quality and speed of reporting. Results are reported back via the vet's local VLA laboratory who will provide interpretation and follow-up support if required.
Samples submitted from private laboratories or commercial companies are handled directly by VLA Shrewsbury. Please note that the prices given in the price list are not applicable to such work.
