Risk analysis

VLA is at the forefront of national and international developments in risk analysis.

Our team, made up of veterinarians, risk assessors, mathematical modellers, microbiologists and computer programmers, can offer expertise tailored to your exact requirements.

We also teach the risk analysis module on the Royal Veterinary College, The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and the VLA MSc Veterinary Epidemiology course and we frequently organise short courses in risk analysis at national and international locations.

  • Assessing the risk of disease transmission (e.g. bovine tuberculosis, brucellosis, foot and mouth disease).
  • Assessing animal and public health risks associated with transmissible spongiform encephalopathies.
