VLA provides a wide range of applied research and consultancy, diagnosis and surveillance on farm animal diseases to the Government, livestock health industry and private sector.
We are a national and international reference laboratory for a wide range of farm animal diseases, and have close links with research institutes and universities worldwide.

VLA expands its disinfectant testing service
With disinfectants playing such a vital role in disease prevention, VLA has expanded its service to support disinfectant manufacturers.
The service, which now covers a range of viruses and bacteria, includes disinfectant dilution range finding and extensive efficacy testing to support the formulation and development of new products.
