Purchase of textile products with low pesticide content, reducing the use of environmentally harmful substances in production and reducing the residues of substances harmful to human health

2008 MINIMUM Mandatory Specification(s)

1.  Cotton fibres must contain 0.2ppm or less of the pesticides listed in the EU ecolabel  (see page 3), unless 25% or more of the cotton is organically certified.

2.  Wool fibres must contain limited amounts of trace pesticides, with a total of 15ppm.

3.  Synthetic polyamide and polyester must have VOC releases no more than twice the levels set in the EU ecolabel (see page 5)
