MINIMUM Mandatory Specification(s)

Must have the high Energy Efficiency (output of mechanical power / input electrical power) rating of IE2, which is equivalent to EFF 1 and is consistent with the forthcoming motors Implementing Measure for 2011.

1.  Complies with the Enhanced Capital Allowances scheme (Motors and Drives) criteria (pages 55 – 61).

2. The Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme promotes 5 products within the Motors & Drives categories, the key products being Single Speed Motors, Variable Speed Drives and Integrated Motor Drive Units.

3.  Single Speed motors included on the Energy Technology List are the best in class motors that are available on the market and that meet the performance thresholds of either the European Committee of Manufacturers of Electrical Machines and Power Electronics (CEMEP) motor labelling scheme (IEC), or that meet the requirements of the UK Water Industry Mechanical and Electrical Specifications (WIMES)
