Regional fact sheets
For each Government Office region a fact sheet has been produced. These include commentary on every indicator in detail, and show an assessment of overall progress.
- North East (PDF 179 KB)
- North West (PDF 175 KB)
- Yorkshire and the Humber (PDF 176 KB)
- East Midlands (PDF 176 KB)
- West Midland (PDF 174 KB)
- East of England (PDF 173 KB)
- London (PDF 173 KB)
- South East (PDF 175 KB)
- South West (PDF 175 KB)
Commentary for each indicator includes an assessment of progress since a baseline year where trend data is available, commentray on this trend if applicable, and various comparisons with other regions and/or the national average.
The factsheets also include pie charts that summarise the progress in indicators within the priority areas of (a) sustainable consumption and production and natural resources, and (b) sustainable communities.
The summaries exclude measures that are provided for contextual purposes only (see this technical note for more technical note [PDF 887KB]). The analysis is additionally limited to those measures for which regional trend data are available.
A list of the measures used at regional level to compile the pie chart summary assessments is available here (PDF 118 KB).
A summary of all measures for which a traffic light assessment has been made by region can be found here (PDF 154 KB). It also shows the best and worst regions in absolute terms by indicator for contextual purposes.
