Progress is summarised by the number of component measures in the UK Government's indicators of sustainable development that are assessed as showing improvement, little or no change, or deterioration, using a traffic light system.
Technical note and spreadsheet
The techinical note explains how and why the indicators and associated measures are split into the four priority areas and expalins how it is determned which contribute to the formal summary for each area. The spreadsheet shows in detail how each indicator relates to the prioirty areas and whether it contributes to its formal summary assessment.
