  • Between 2001 and 2005 the percentage of males and females aged 15-19 not in employment, education or training changed little in the UK - rising by 1.4 and 1 percentage points respectively.  The highest increase for males was in France (3.4 percentage points) and the highest for females was in Denmark (2.5 percentage points).
  • The percentage of young males and females not in employment or education in the UK in 2005 was 9.7 per cent and 9 per cent respectively (second highest for males and third highest for females).  The OECD averages were 7.3 per cent for males, and 8.3 per cent for females (not shown).
