UK and selected countries
- Between 1990 and 2006 was little or no change in UK total investment as a percentage of GDP. During this period, there was increases in France, Italy, Sweden and Denmark, with Denmark's 19 per cent increase being the greatest.
- In 2006 total investment in the UK was 17.2 per cent of GDP, the lowest of the nine compared countries. Total investment of the 15 EU countries was 21 per cent of GDP in 2006.
