UK and selected countries

- The amount of fishery products landed per capita in the UK declined by 17 per cent between 1990 and 2005. There were also declines in 9 other countries and increases in 2.
- Between 1999 and 2005 UK fishery landings per capita declined by 22 per cent. There were also declines in 7 other countries, the largest of which (36 per cent) was in Denmark. Landings per capita increased in 3 of the 12 selected countries and little or no change in one.
- In 2005 the UK landed 11 Kg of fish per capita, the fifth lowest of the 12 countries. Norway landed the most fish per capita at 518 Kg.
