Data up to 2006 for energy supply in the UK are presented in the national indicator

UK and selected countries

- Between 1990 and 2003 energy consumption per capita showed little or no change in the UK and 7 other countries. In Australia there was a decrease of 4 per cent during this period, and increases in Canada, Netherlands, Italy and Denmark.
- Between 2000 and 2003 energy consumption increased in 5 countries, but has remained the same in 7 including the UK. In the US there was a decrease of 3.6 per cent during this period.
- In 2003 the UK consumed 3,918 Kg oil equivalent per person, the third lowest of the 13 selected countries and lower than the average energy consumption (5,435 Kg oil equivalent per person) of all "high income" countries (not shown).
