About the June survey

Changes were made to the survey methodology in 2010 to exclude data on the smallest holdings and this approach will be adopted for all future farming surveys. The effects of excluding the smallest holdings can be seen in the:

From 2010 onwards farm types will be classified according to standard outputs. More information on standard outputs and the effects of this new methodology is available at: June standard output typology.

The latest updates of these detailed results are from the 2010 Census. From 2011 onwards the survey is likely to be reduced in size so these low levels of results may not be possible.
