Channel Islands

Biodiversity: The geographical position and favourable climate of the Channel Islands (the Bailiwick of Jersey and Bailiwick of Guernsey) allows many species normally restricted to either Britain or the continent to extend their range, resulting in an overlapping mixture of animals and plants found only in the Channel Islands. Its biodiversity is therefore rich and varied.
