Annex 1: Terms of reference and membership of RWMAC

Terms of Reference of the Committee

To advise the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and, in relation to devolved matters, to advise the Minister for Environment and Rural Affairs in Scotland and the Minister for the Environment in the Welsh Assembly, on the technical and environmental implications of major issues concerning the development and implementation of an overall policy for all aspects of the management of civil radioactive waste, including research and development: and on any such matters referred to it by these persons.
