Racing
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) is responsible for policy on racing and acts as the sponsor department for the horseracing industry.
The British Horseracing Authority is responsible for the regulation of the conduct of British Racing.
DCMS is directly responsible for two non-departmental public bodies, the Tote and the Horserace Betting Levy Board, which both currently play a central role in the funding of horseracing
