PART I

PRELIMINARY

Citation and interpretation
    1. (1) These rules may be cited as the Agricultural Land Tribunals (Succession) Rules 1984.

    (2) In these rules "the principal rules" means the Agricultural Land Tribunals Rules 1978 [SI 1978/259] and expressions defined in the principal rules have the same meaning in these rules.

    (3) Unless the context otherwise requires, any reference in these rules -

(a)
  to a numbered rule shall be construed as a reference to the rule bearing that number in these rules; or
     
(b)
 

to a numbered form shall be construed as a reference to the form bearing that number in the Appendix to these rules, or a form substantially to the like effect with such variations as the circumstances may require.
