Exporting is a key route to strong and sustainable growth in the farming, food and drink sector. However, the majority of UK agri-food exports are to mature markets, as opposed to the high-growth emerging consumer powers.

Research also indicates that only one in five agri-food small and medium-sized companies export in England.
