>>>>> Go to full event summary including presentations

Last year, Defra hosted a meeting on Phytophthora ramorum at the Central Science Laboratory in York to bring Government and industry representatives together and discuss:

  • the outbreaks situation in the UK, Europe and the US
  • outline the current scientific understanding of the organism and it’s impact
  • gain an industry perspective of the disease, and
  • review the regulatory activities and discuss the way forward in dealing with P. ramorum

Defra will be hosting a follow up meeting on 30 November 2004 at the Emmanuel Centre, London to discuss progress – one year on. Speakers from the USA, Europe and Industry will again talk about their experiences.

If you would like to attend this event then please contact Plant Health HQ on 01904 455178 or e-mail us at planthealth.info@defra.gsi.gov.uk. Seating will be limited and official invitations will be distributed on expression of interest.
