Twelve projects have been identified to deliver the information required by the Task Force for its June 2012 output and roadmap. The projects are explored in detail on the subsequent pages and the full programme of work as submitted to Defra Ministers on 16 December is available below.

There are 4 groups of projects:

• Sustainable growing media – focusing on how we can define and measure the sustainability of growing media
• Role of public policy – focusing on the role of public policy in developing solutions
• Growing media performance, use and price – focusing on performance standards and requirements
• Consumer communications – focusing on communication of messages to consumers and users of growing media
