Act on Copenhagen website launched
A new website has been launched to support ‘Act on Copenhagen’, the UK Government’s mission for a global deal on climate change. This will be the official website for all activities leading up to the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen this December.
The launch of the website coincided with the publication of ‘The Road to Copenhagen’, a document which sets out why a positive outcome at the conference is so important. The current Kyoto protocol – governing reduction in the emission of greenhouse gases – expires in 2012.
Visit the website for all the latest news, background information, and a countdown to the conference. You can find out what is being done on both a UK and global scale and discover how to get involved in the campaigning yourself.
The site is developed and managed by the Department of Energy and Climate Change and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, with collaboration and support from other UK government departments.Further information
