Defra is running a series of workshops across the country for people with an interest in proposals for how the livestock industry can have a greater say in decisions on animal disease control and prevention, and make a greater contribution to some of the costs associated with animal diseases.
Animal health and disease control are central to a successful industry, to protecting public health, wildlife and the wider environment.
Regional workshops, which will give farmers and others with an interest the opportunity to have their say in how cost-sharing and shared decision-making can work in practice.
