Fisheries Management: Administrative penalties
The Administrative penalties scheme is now in place. The scheme has been developed through effective co-operative discussions between UK Fisheries Departments and the UK fishing industry. The intention is that fixed penalty notices will be issued as an alternative to criminal prosecutions in certain circumstances.
A statutory instrument implementing the new regime (SI 2008 No. 984) is now in force.
