4 December 2007 - GVS/AGV 2008 Joint Conference: We are pleased to announce that the next Government Veterinary Surgeons conference will be jointly held for the 2nd time with the Association of Government Veterinarians (AGV) on the 18 & 19 June 2008 in Cardiff.

The theme for the joint conference is "Positive Partnerships: Positive Impact".

20 November 2007 - Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer Fred Landeg is now Acting Chief Veterinary Officer and Alick Simmons is Deputy CVO.

26 June 2007 - The BCVA Congress will be held in Glasgow at the SECC on 24 - 26th November 2007. The programme and registration forms are available on the BCVA website.

22 June 2007 - Presentations and workshop notes are now available from the GVS Conference 2007, which was held on the 4-5 June 2007.

2 February 2007 - Information regarding the Association of Government Veterinarians Symposium to be held on 24 March 2007 has been published.

On Monday 19 February 2007 there will be a day's seminar on bluetongue with the Sheep Veterinary Society, the British Cattle Veterinary Society, Defra and the State Veterinary Service. The meeting will be held at Bosworth Hall Hotel, Warwickshire. We hope to post outcomes of the seminar in due course.
