| EU Structural Funds: EAGGF Objective 1 | Promotes development in certain economically-disadvantaged regions |
| LEADER+ | European Community Initiative to help rural communities improve local quality of life and economic prosperity. |
| Local Heritage Initiative | Grants for local groups to investigate, explain and care for their local landscape, landmarks, traditions and culture. |
| Parish Plans | Small grants are available to support local consultation to produce Parish Plans that identify needs and set out how these might be tackled. |
| Rural Enterprise Scheme | Scheme now closed to new applicants - Supports projects aiming to develop more sustainable, diversified and enterprising rural economies and communities. |
| Vital Villages | Scheme now closed; included Parish Plan Grant (see "Parish Plans"), Community Services Grant, Parish Transport Grant Schemes and Rural Transport Partnership Grants. |
