These schemes are concerned with increasing the productivity of the worst performing rural areas and improving access to services for people in rural areas. Select schemes that interest you, to read more.

The overall rural regeneration funding programme supports delivery of Defra Public Service Agreement 4 objectives.

Summary

EU Structural Funds: EAGGF Objective 1 Promotes development in certain economically-disadvantaged regions
LEADER+ European Community Initiative to help rural communities improve local quality of life and economic prosperity.
Local Heritage Initiative Grants for local groups to investigate, explain and care for their local landscape, landmarks, traditions and culture.
Parish Plans Small grants are available to support local consultation to produce Parish Plans that identify needs and set out how these might be tackled.
Rural Enterprise Scheme Scheme now closed to new applicants - Supports projects aiming to develop more sustainable, diversified and enterprising rural economies and communities.
Vital Villages Scheme now closed; included Parish Plan Grant (see "Parish Plans"), Community Services Grant, Parish Transport Grant Schemes and Rural Transport Partnership Grants.
