This form was for Local Authorities and/or Local Enterprise Partnerships interested in applying to become a pilot Rural Growth Network. Around six pilot Rural Growth Networks will be identified to develop and test different models designed to stimulate sustainable economic growth in rural areas. The application period was open from 29 December 2011 to 31 January 2012.
The application period for the competition closed on 31 January 2012. It is expected that applicants will hear by 16 February 2012 whether they have been shortlisted or not. Discussions with shortlisted applicants are expected to be held on 20 and 21 February 2012. The announcement of the chosen pilots is expected in March.
