Management committee (MANCOM)
The European Commission works with management committees that contribute to the design and implementation of EU policies. The Wine Management Committee is a meeting of representatives from the Member States whose responsibility is to give an opinion on proposals made by the Commission concerning the wine market.
It meets every two to three weeks, usually on a Tuesday, and it is concerned with taking decisions affecting the production, marketing and trading of wine within the EU.
The European Commission website publishes information on the role of MANCOMs, dates of future meetings and short summary reports (in French) of each meeting. For further information see the European Commission wine webpages.
