Defra is responsible for sponsoring the wine industry and also has policy responsibility for the UK and EU Wine Regulations. The wine web pages contain information on the English and Welsh wine industry, EU legislation, reform of the EU Wine Regime, wine management committee, notice to growers, frequently asked questions and contacts.
