Eggs and poultry
Management Committee (ManCom)
Defra representatives attend monthly meetings with the European Commission in Brussels to discuss eggs and poultry trade and marketing issues.
These meetings are called Management Committees, or ManCom. We aim to represent the interests of UK consumers, producers and processors in the poultry sector.
Key points are generally related to Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) issues including: import tariffs and export refunds, marketing standards issues, and the state of the market, although debate can extend into a variety of other topics.
