Eggs and poultrymeat statistics

Below is a selection of links to appropriate egg and poultry statistics resources. These statistics are produced by Defra Statistics division:

• Egg statistics notice PDF (on Defra statistics website) - This monthly publication is intended to cover all ‘official’ egg statistics, for example, the egg laying element of the UK Hatcheries Survey, the UK Egg Packing Station Survey, the UK Egg Processor Survey, trade data, and EU data.
• Poultry and Poultrymeat statistics notice PDF (on Defra statistics website) - This monthly publication combines the UK Hatcheries Survey and Poultry Slaughterhouse Survey results together with other Defra statistics, trade data, and EU data.
• Agriculture in the UK (on Defra statistics website)
• Expenditure and Food Survey (on Defra statistics website) - this new annual survey replaced the National Food Survey from 2001
• Quarterly supplies and total for domestic usage of meat in the UK PDF (on Defra statistics website)
