Regional & local food - Government Strategy
As part of the Department's work on regional and local food and in response to recommendations made in the Policy Commission on the Future of Farming and Food's report Defra, Food From Britain (FFB), the Regional Development Agencies (RDAs), Food Standards Agency (FSA) and the Countryside Agency have jointly prepared a new structure for support for regional food initiatives.
A Strategy for Regional Food has been published and Food From Britain (FFB), will take a lead role in England and receive Government grant to promote regional food.
