Regional & local food - research - speciality foods
In 1999, the then Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and Food From Britain commissioned research into the speciality food and drink sector. The aim of the research was to assess the economic importance of the British speciality food and drink sector, identifying the challenges which it faces, its linkages with the regional economic development bodies, its geographical concentration and the key sectoral trends.
