September 2007 | This Defra commissioned report is based on a survey of the Quality Regional Food (QRF) sector in England to assess the current size of the quality regional food market and whether it has grown since 2003. |
| Economic Evaluation of the Regional Food Strategy | September 2005 | Defra commissioned an economic evaluation of the RFS in order to establish whether there was a continuing economic rationale for public sector support for the quality regional food sector, assess the effectiveness of the strategy and make recommendations on how the strategy could be improved. |

September 2003 | Assesses the current size and nature of the Regional Food Sector in England. The aim of the project was to enable Defra to better understand the size of the industry in 2003 and to monitor changes over the next five years. |

Protected Food Names (PDF 100 KB) |
July 2003 | Project aimed to determine the awareness and perceptions of, and attitudes towards the EU 'Protected Food Names' scheme amongst grocery retailers within the UK. The findings from the research are being used by Defra to identify how best promote the scheme and to help identify any improvements that may be needed to make it more effective. |
