9 May 2008 – Consultation for Jersey Butter (PDO) (PDF 35 KB) and Traditional Bramley Apple Pie Filling (TSG) (PDF 32 KB) commences. Objections / comments should be sent to FFB by 1 August 2008.
29 April 2008 - Scotch Beef (PGI) (PDF 18 KB) and Scotch Lamb (PGI) (PDF 18 KB)- Quality Meat Scotland (QMS) have made a request to include Product Authentication International (PAI) as one of the inspection bodies authorised to carry out inspections required by Regulation (EC) 510/2006 in respect of the Scotch Beef and Scotch Lamb Protected Geographical Indications (PGI). We support this amendment and, as required by Article 9.3(i) of Council Regulation (EC) No 510/06 have published the amended specification for information.
14 April 2008 - Consultation for Newmarket Sausage (pdf 35 KB) PGI application commences. Any objections should be sent to FFB by 7 July.
9 April 2008 - Isle of Man Manx Loaghtan Lamb is the latest product to be granted Protected Designation of Origin status.
1 April 2008 – Consultation for Native Shetland Organic Wool (PDO) (PDF 42 KB) - Any objections to be sent to SEERAD by 24 June 2008.
31 March 2008 - Northern Ireland Beef, and Northern Ireland Lamb PGI applications have been submitted to the European Commission.
4 March 2008 - Cumberland Sausage, final consultation. Comments due by 25 March 2008.
20 December 2007 - South West of England Beef (pdf 48kb) and South West Of England Lamb (pdf 35kb) PGI applications have been submitted to the commission. Consultation for Fal Oysters (29kb), PDO application commences. Any objections should be sent to FFB by 13 March 2008. FFB's contact details are available.
