Food and drink: Council of Food Policy Advisors
On 6 October 2008 Hilary Benn announced that he was establishing a Council of Food Policy Advisors to provide advice on a wide range of food policy issues. This reflects the growing importance of food policy, and Defra’s new role in co-ordinating this across Government. The Council has now started work, chaired by Dame Suzi Leather.
