28 October 2009 - A video to help explain the rules about bringing food into the UK from countries outside the EU and why these rules exist has been published.

16 July 2009 - The Annual Review of Controls on Imports of Animal Products: April 2008 – March 2009 has been published.

1 May 2009 – Summary of new personal import rules for animal products. There are new rules covering personal imports of animal products (e.g. meat, dairy, fish etc.) into the United Kingdom.  There is no change to the ban on imports of meat and dairy products from most countries outside the European Union (EU) but some changes to the amounts of other animal products which are permitted.
