Tribunal areas, secretaries and offices

The seven ALTs in England are supported by a Secretary provided by Defra. Under the current arrangements for England there are two ALT Secretaries, one based at Bristol and the other at Crewe, to service the seven ALTs. The ALT (Wales) is supported by a Secretary provided by the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG). Each Secretary is responsible for specific Tribunals.

Applications should be made to the Secretary responsible for the ALT for the area in which the whole, or the greater part, of the land to which the proceedings relate are situated.

Bristol is Lead Region for ALTs. It provides the secretariat for the following ALTs:
