31 December 2009: Implementation of electronic identification (EID) has replaced double tagging for sheep.

Central Point Recording - In 2010 the recording of individual animal details can be carried out at Central Point Recording Centres. Markets, collection centres, and abattoirs who decide to provide this service will be advised of the approval process early in 2010.
