Veterinary Surveillance in the UK
Veterinary surveillance is the term used to describe everything
we do both to collect information about diseases affecting animals
and to make sure that the information gets to those who need it.
The 10-year UK Veterinary Surveillance Strategy was launched in
October 2003. It has been developed by Defra, the Scottish Executive
and the Welsh Assembly together with the Department of Agriculture
for Northern Ireland working in partnership.
