Epizootic Haemorrhagic Disease of Deer

If you suspect signs of any notifiable disease, you must immediately notify a Defra Divisional Veterinary Manager.

Definition

This disease is caused by an orbivirus, sometimes termed "Bluetongue - related", as the virus reacts serologically similarly to the Bluetongue virus. The disease has never occurred in the United Kingdom.
