Proposal to make Koi Herpes Virus a notifiable disease
Following an increased number of outbreaks of KHV disease at recreational fisheries during the summer, Defra undertook to make the disease notifiable under the Diseases of Fish Act 1937. On 31 October 2006, we issued a consultation paper, seeking comments on different approaches to disease control, which would underpin the notifiable status.
