St David’s Farm Practice
St David’s Farm Practice is a purely farm animal practice based in the Southwest. We offer specialist farm services to dairy, beef, pig and sheep clients. Our approach is preventative and we believe that Herd Health Planning is an essential part of this. Our aim is to ensure that all our farms have a working Herd Health Plan in place within 12 months. The Cattle Initiative Project will enable us to complete this. With the funding we will be setting up farmer discussion groups to discuss and share information. There will also be lectures at local Agriculture Colleges to increase the awareness amongst young farmers in the importance of Herd Health Planning. We believe that this approach will help to make our farmers more aware of the cost effectiveness of good management and disease control.
