South West Organic Beef Producers at the Royal Cornwall Show – 7-9 June 2007
Tom Foot of the South West Organic Beef Producers project which is allied to St Merryn Meats and TESCO had a stand at the Royal Cornwall Show on the 7, 8 and 9 June.
The show attracted c.130,000 visitors this year, a record number for this 3 day event. Tom said, "We provided hospitality for over 3000 genuine beef farmers who supply St Merryn Meats and TESCO, so this event gave us a great opportunity to raise the profile of Farm Health Planning with our suppliers and in particular with the organic sector. We also had a lot of serious interest from a number of farmers who are considering or are in the process of conversion to organic production where a herd health plan is a requirement".
